The 2022-23 UC Berkeley Center for the Science of Psychedelics Student Fellowship application window is NOW CLOSED.
The BCSP Student Fellowship program offers funding for Indigenous scholars and students interested in the scholarship, training, stewardship, public education, and journalism related to plant medicines and psychedelics. This encompasses Indigenous cultural contexts; Indigenous social, political, and ecological dimensions; Indigenous stewardship and protection; education, training, and clinical approaches to psychedelic use; and journalistic reporting on plant medicines and psychedelics, their origins, and their cultivation. This cohort of scholars will be the first in what will be a longstanding program devoted to Indigenous scholars and the Indigenous scientific and cultural contexts of plant medicines, their associated rituals, and psychedelics.
UC BERKELEY CENTER FOR THE SCIENCE OF PSYCHEDELICS
CALL FOR FELLOWSHIP APPLICATIONS
We welcome student researchers from all academic disciplines at UC Berkeley.
The UC Berkeley Center for the Science of Psychedelics (BCSP) announces a new one-year fellowship program for UC Berkeley undergraduate and graduate students whose work relates to our mission: combining interdisciplinary research, training, and public education to explore not only the psychological, biological, and healing properties of psychedelic substances, but also their cultural contexts.
Based at UC Berkeley and led by six UC Berkeley faculty members across a wide range of disciplines, the BCSP is unique in its commitment to the new scholarship, practice, journalism, and education related to psychedelics.
We anticipate that our BCSP Student Fellows will go on to secure top positions at universities nationwide and lead new training, research, and journalism related to plant medicines and psychedelics.
